This time, I came to Guangzhou specifically to explore the cuisine and ancient architecture of the old town of Xiguan, and ultimately settled on Xana Deluxe Hotel Guangzhou Xiguan Yongqingfang Zhongshan 8th Road Metro Station Branch. Originally, I only hoped it would be conveniently located near Yongqing Fang, but after staying, I realized that this hotel perfectly blended the "French delicacy" with the relaxation of the old Xiguan, and the overall accommodation experience far exceeded expectations.
At the moment of checking in, the favorability was already full. The front desk did not have a mechanized process, and the room card holder handed over had a hand drawn Yongqing Fang check-in point printed on it. It also came with a small bottle of free chilled Cantonese sour plum soup. Just after strolling through the old alleys of Xiguan in the 30s, the summer heat dissipated in one bite. Upon learning that I was here to explore the old city, the staff specially upgraded me to a quiet room on a higher floor. They also reminded me that the room was equipped with free steam eye masks and sleep aids, so that I could relax well after a day of sightseeing.
The first feeling upon opening the door is that it is "relaxed yet exquisite", with warm toned milky white decoration and light gold details, completely devoid of the dullness of traditional business hotels. The experience of bedding was particularly surprising. The mattress was moderately soft and hard, neither collapsing nor becoming too hard to hurt the waist. Paired with fluffy down pillows, after 12 hours of continuous wandering in the old alley, my legs were sore and tired, and after lying on it for a while, most of them fell apart. I paid special attention to hygiene details, and there were no stains or pilling marks on the sheets. Even the small coffee table by the window was wiped clean, indicating that the hotel had put a lot of effort into maintaining the details.
The wet dry separation in the bathroom is very thorough, and there is no situation where the entire floor is wet after taking a shower. The water output of the showerhead is even and abundant, with hot water coming out in seconds. After taking a hot shower and wrapping yourself in the hotel's soft bathrobe, the dryness, heat, and dust of the day are instantly washed away. The sound insulation effect of the hotel exceeded expectations, even though it was the main road of Zhongshan Eighth Road downstairs. After closing the windows, you could hardly hear the noise of traffic. You slept soundly all night with the light fragrance of sleep aid pills.
The detailed service is always thoughtful. I casually placed the old city check-in photos on my desk, and the cleaning lady helped me organize them into a storage box while cleaning, without touching the food guide notes on my desk. In the evening, I sorted out photos in my room until late at night. I called the front desk to ask for a supper. Soon, a bowl of hot Cantonese style boat porridge was delivered, which made my stomach warm. Even the tiredness of staying up late was alleviated. There is no need to go downstairs to pick up takeout. The hotel's robots will steadily deliver the food to the door of the room. When you don't want to change clothes and go downstairs, you can order a nearby Xiguan beef offal and wait for the robot to knock on the door, which is particularly worry free.
The next morning, I had breakfast at the hotel restaurant. I cooked freshly made bamboo noodles with elastic teeth, and the filling of Cantonese shrimp dumplings was full and juicy. Without having to queue outside, I could enjoy the authentic taste of Cantonese morning tea. As a high-end hotel in the Xiguan area, Xana Deluxe Hotel Guangzhou Xiguan Yongqingfang Zhongshan 8th Road Metro Station Branch does not have flashy internet celebrity designs, but incorporates the comfort, peace of mind, and thoughtfulness that guests care most about into every detail. Next time I come to Guangzhou to explore the old city, I will definitely choose this place as soon as possible.Show more
